As a teacher at Central Cambria High School, Paul Seymour was a passionate educator, but not just about political science and government. He made a point of challenging each of his students to reach higher and strive harder. Paul Seymour was the kind of teacher remembered for helping young people realize their full potential. Gifts to the Paul E. Seymour Fund will help promote his ideals of academic excellence and foster exceptional enrichment opportunities for future generations.
Aaron Rusin Memorial Scholarship Fund
Pfc. Aaron James Rusin, 19, of Jackson Township, was a 2003 graduate of Central Cambria High School. An American soldier and hero, Aaron was killed in Iraq on October 10, 2004. Aaron’s mother, Sandra, brother, Adam (CCHS Class of 2004), and family established the Aaron Rusin Memorial Scholarship Fund at Central Cambria to honor Aaron’s memory. The community responded with thousands of dollars in heartfelt gifts. Each year, a scholarship is awarded to a deserving student in Aaron’s name. It is a lasting tribute to a young man who gave his life in service of his country. Gifts to the Aaron Rusin Memorial Scholarship Fund enable other young people to further Aaron’s commitment to helping others.
Started by 2010 Central Cambria Graduates Josh Duman, A.J. Pagano and Mariah Seymour. These CC alumni are currently studying music education at Slippery Rock University. The trio attribute much of their success to Central Cambria’s music department. They have generously decided to create a scholarship fund for a Central Cambria senior highly involved in Central Cambria’s music program who chooses to continue pursing music in higher education.
