Ebensburg Regional Inclusive Playground Project

Ebensburg Regional Inclusive Playground Project on WJAC-TV News!

Many people have fond memories of childhood when they spent countless hours at the playground with friends. Unfortunately, for some students with special needs, most playgrounds are often made inaccessible because of sand, rocks, lack of any ramps, and no accessible play equipment. Most parents of students with special needs often cannot find truly accessible playgrounds for their children to play and are acutely aware of the lack of accessibility as they visit playgrounds throughout our region.

Many children miss these experiences due to lack of accessibility. This is something that individuals in the Ebensburg area and surrounding communities plan to work on to bring childhood play to everyone by creating an inclusive playground that is accessible to all!

The Challenge: To raise the money needed to make this dream a reality.
The Goal: $245,000.00

At Cambria Elementary, we believe that all children should be included on the playground, and that every playground should be rich in sensory experiences that nurture all children of all abilities, and bring them together in play.
