History

The demands placed on educational systems are greater today than ever before.  As the level of funding from state and federal resources continues to shrink, school districts must be creative in pursuing new avenues of support.  In 2004, a group of alumni, parents and community leaders put their heads together with Central Cambria administrators to map out a plan for the future.  After nearly a full year of legwork, the Central Cambria Education Foundation was incorporated December 27, 2004 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation.  An independent fundraising arm for Central Cambria School District, the Foundation helps fund important student needs that simply can’t be met in any other way.  We are proud to say our efforts have grown over time.  Participation in our signature fundraising events has paid for everything from expanded reading programs and tutoring for special education students to new technology for classrooms and educational field trips that would not have happened otherwise.
